I’ve come here for a work lunch and several times for a personal pint. During all times I’ve found the staff accommodating, professional, and cordial. The liquor selection and local craft beer selection is standard for the area. More than anything however, two things stick out. Firstly, the staff seems to genuinely care for one another in a. way that is not always evident in many service-industry oriented establishments. This is evidenced by their memorialization of former staff who’ve passed away. They have photographs of these former staff members behind their bar. Secondly, this is a local fixture. If you’re traveling through Castle Pines, you should know that everyone knows and regularly visits Duke’s. It’s a part of the fabric of the local community and one of the few restaurants in Castle Pines proper.

Had the walleye which was great. Buddy had the burger and he thought it was really good too. Good service. Very reasonably priced for the quality. The vibe was pretty good. It's kind of a loud echoey place for a steakhouse. Didn't bother me but definitely not "intimate" if that's what you're looking for.

Came here after Sunday church service on a whim, was pleasantly surprised by how much food we got and the quality! The best New York strip I’ve tried, the crème brûlée was good, wedge salad, and mussels too! Everything we had was great. Not somewhere I’d eat every day because of the price but it’s not meant to be. I’m not a big pretzel fan but the pretzel bread was still very good (try it with the butter). Thank you, Cheryl, for making this such a great experience for us!

We also recommend the (spicy) bloody mary and the mimosas.

I've never understood why this place has such good reviews. We've been here twice, and we've been very disappointed both times.

Service: polite but not very attentive.

Atmosphere: dark, dated, uncomfortable.

Food: The potato skins appetizer was bad. Bland potato with a ton of cold cheese, barely any bacon, and huge chunks of green onion. The burger was not good. Meat not seasoned, and tasted like a frozen patty. Salad was warm, limp, and flavorless. French dip meat was old tasting, like it had been cooked a few days ago and warmed up for my sandwich. It was not fresh tasting at all. The club sandwich was decent, but not worth going back for. Fries and onion rings were fine. Not great, but not bad.

Drinks: bloody mary was bland and boring. Didn't even drink a third of it. Coconut cucumber cocktail sounded nice and waitress described it as refreshing. But it was sickly sweet and bad. Beer was cold and way better than the cocktails.

I'm sorry if this a local favorite, but we still don't get it. We do not recommend and we will not return.

I was originally worried when I walked in with my husband because of how loud it is- it was very, very loud. Weirdly enough, that's my only gripe and they're not at fault for that. I just won't go on a weekend again. The food was incredible- literally phenomenal. Cooked to perfection and out quickly, even though they were incredibly busy. Cathy (Kathy?) was one of the best servers I've ever had- period. She checked up on us, plated our leftovers, and was so very sweet even though she had plenty of other tables to worry about. It didn't *feel* like they were as busy as they were, because we never waited long for anything. I highly recommend Duke's. My husband and I will absolutely be back.

For reference: we ordered potato skins for starters, the ribeye, and 2 deserts- the sea salt caramel cheese cake and vanilla crème brule.

If I could give this place 6 stars out of 5, I would.

I thought that the food at Duke's was really good and our server was lovely as well unfortunately she was overwhelmed and very busy. I almost felt guilty asking for stuff. But thankfully she managed even though she clearly had a lot to do. And also unfortunately we did not go when they had prime rib so that was a bummer I probably would have liked that more. And as far as the food I only had a couple complaints like the strawberry avocado salad did not have candied pecans... THE PECANS WERE NOT CANDIED, I don't even know what to say to that because it's just so shocking. What a missed opportunity to elevate that salad. Also I ordered bread which cost $3 and it was pretzel bread and it didn't say anywhere on the menu that it was pretzel bread it said fresh warm bread like bro you need to indicate that is pretzel bread because a lot of people don't like it myself included. I would not have spent $3 for pretzel bread. I thought you were bringing me real bread. So those were the two things that I thought were a bit of a disappointment. Also there were constant flies. I guess you can't help that when you have the doors open to enjoy the outside fresh breeze but we were constantly waving away flies. Thankfully they do have comfy large booths that was nice. And the rest of the food was really good. I got the tenderloin shrimp and scallops. I almost should have just got the scallops though because they were the star of the show. And they finish everything with a lobster bisque sauce it almost reminds me of like a little drizzle of hollandaise. I thought it was really good but also decadent. I ate way too much. I felt like my stomach was going to explode when I was leaving haha but that was my fault we ordered like two appetizers and a salad and a soup and a full entree and dessert with coffee and I had two drinks. But I can't help I wanted to try everything. Haha. And they don't employ the stupid little pads I'm so glad because I'm sick of restaurants that are doing that and I feel like everywhere is doing that lately. Why can't you just take my dessert order yourself thank you. So I really appreciate that they have not leaned into that technology because it is stupid and annoying. But they really need to get some candied pecans for their salad and they really need to specify that bread is pretzel bread because I bet most people do not want that. It was slightly better dipped in the buttery juices from the mussels though. But it comes with pretzel bread if you order mussels so basically it was just a waste of my money. Only $3 but still. And I didn't complain they probably would have taken it off the bill but I'm just saying in general as a request from a customer to the restaurant stop serving those or put it on the menu because that is not what I thought I was ordering. But other than a few personal preferences I would say the food was really good. The chefs back there know what they are doing. Everything was cooked perfectly and so delicious. Even with a few complaints I couldn't give them less than five stars because the food was that good and my server was that good. But I would make some adjustments if it were my restaurant haha. Let me know if you need a chef to provide candied pecans because I make the best candied pecans in the world lol. Overall I would recommend it to any fans of steak or similar meals. My husband had the chicken fried chicken and that was really good as well. And my daughter loved her chicken alfredo.

Best Prime Rib I've ever had. Even better than the big steakhouse's in NYC and way better priced

Excellent service and food! I would have given it 5 stars, but the evening I went (Friday night) it was very loud which I was not expecting. It wasn’t that you couldn’t hold a conversation, but a lot of background noise from the amount of patrons in the restaurant. However, I would go back without a doubt!
