WOW what a mess, I got hired as a contractor to be an “account analyst” by a third party recruiting company. Having experience in customer service and high market sales I was told that this job would be very similar to what I had experience in. In reality it’s a gussied up way of saying that the position is essentially training to be an accountant. I attended a single day of training which had to be the WORST training experience of my life. Dysfunctional barely begins to describe the many confusing processes I was shown through my training. I would highly recommend anyone stays away from working with this company unless you’re a fan of being in a confusing training process.

Hands-down the worst website (as a client with their ordering site) and customer service I have ever experienced with a company. Most of their drivers are unpleasant at best, dropping off deliveries without telling anyone (they've dropped it off on the street outside one hotel before with half of the order being frozen... and just didn't tell anyone).

And don't get me started on their website. Is down at least once a week, looks like it hasn't been updated since 1995, and they put no effort into providing accurate info on what you're buying. Getting some bulk Dorito's? Good luck figuring out what size bag of chips they are, how many come in a pack, etc. Blows my mind that their CEO/President can look at their website and say, "Yep, looks good to me!"

I called and was trying to get in contact with someone from the purchasing/ buying department and the older lady who answered the phone (operator I am assuming) was gatekeeping HARD. She was being extremely rude and kept saying "Vistar doesn't do this". She would not explain why I couldn't speak with anyone nor would she let me finish my questions.

I felt extremely upset that she wouldn't even let me finish what I was saying / what my request was. I am one of your customers as well and I have never felt this low level of customer service.

My only option to by the sole product line we carry was changed to Vistar of Houston in Jan 2015. The last 5+ years have been mostly frustration, severe incompetence, lack of concern, expired product, damaged product, 6 to 10 week lead times, 500% freight cost hikes without notice, total avoiding of requests to get a higher level manager to email with my concerns. Their drivers describe it's a fiasco with poor leadership and and no desire for improvement. The top management in Houston must be related or have dirt on someone because he is totally uninvolved and nothing has improved in the last 5.5 years which is hard to believe. I wish I could buy elsewhere but am forced to deal with this outfit that seems to create problems for everyone they deal with.

I order from here weekly to supply vending machines in Wyoming. Everyone I deal with at Vistar from my sales rep to my truck driver are friendly and helpful. If you ever need product to fill a store or vending machines, I definitely recommend this company.

Truck drivers don't represent this company well at all. Especially the one that delivers to COS airport. Terrible person to choose for your company.
