Two days before Christmas, I found myself stranded an hour and a half away from home with my dog. It was one of those moments where you feel completely helpless—especially during the holiday season. I called Penrose Towing, and they truly went above and beyond.

Not only did they arrive quickly, but the driver took the time to look at my truck, troubleshoot the issue, and explain what was wrong. He didn’t stop there—despite the long drive, he towed me and my truck all the way back home. He didn’t have to go out of his way like that, but he did, and it meant the world to me.

Penrose Towing turned what could have been a stressful and scary situation into one where I felt genuinely cared for. Their professionalism, kindness, and willingness to help were outstanding. I can’t thank them enough and highly recommend them to anyone in need of towing services. They’re not just a business—they truly care about their customers.

Fantastic service, friendly and prompt, my daughter's car broke down 7 at night by Ft Carson, needed it towed back to Canon, they were in town, fast friendly service and got it back to Canon, and notified me that it was where I wanted it, as I was out of town myself at that time. Just great service to help a dad feel good when his child broke down on the side of the road and I wasn't there.

Broke down late on a Sunday afternoon in Florence. Shane arrived within a reasonable time, had our truck on the tow bed securely in a short time and let me, my wife and our dog ride in the cabin. Dropped the truck at a highly rated repair shop in Canon City (Zerby) and took us to a dog friendly motel. That plus they showed us where we could get food and whatever else we needed while we were there. Even called the next day to check on us - greatly appreciated, thank you

In July, my husband and I wrecked our truck on a 4-wheel drive, high-clearance road outside of Westcliffe. The tire control arm and front axle were broken and we were completely stranded. We called all tow companies as far north as COS, west as Salida, and south as Cañon City. Penrose Tractor & Towing was the ONLY company that agreed to help us because of where we were stuck. Cary and Michael were incredible! They couldn’t get the tow truck to us, so Cary drove his personal truck up to us. They rigged the control arm and front axle with tie downs to try to prevent us from having to drag it down; what they did was truly ingenious! We had also been stranded for about 7-8 hours when they arrived; they were so kind to us throughout this whole process, recognizing that this had been somewhat of a traumatic day for us. Cary let us (and our dog!) ride in his personal truck to the auto shop. The cost of this entire ordeal was astoundingly fair as well. We are so grateful for their help, compassion, ingenuity, and expertise. Thank you, Cary and Michael! You guys were amazing and we’re so grateful!

Shane was an absolute amazing person. Came and got my truck from the side of a dirt road and did so without me needing to be there. Communicated amazingly the whole time. Took the truck and dropped it in castle rock all the way from canon city and was so kind about it. Thank you Shane!

I'm not much on leaving reviews (good or bad) because it's always a bunch of BS navigating the Internet to do so. However, there are times when a review is absolutely in order regardless of the crap. This is one of those times. This review is for Penrose Towing and in particular a tow truck driver named Cary. This company and their driver Cary knows exactly what it means to kick the maximum amount of a** daily without any lame excuses that seems to be the norm these days. Cary went above and beyond to help me out of a situation that was precarious as hell and did it with a professionalism that is second to none. This company and their drivers are professionals in every sense of the word, and I can guarantee you this, I'll never call Dumb & Dumber at whatever dumbass towing company that's listed before I call these guys at Penrose Towing. This is the second time I've had to use these guys, and although the first was a pretty standard tow (if there is such a thing) but the current job was nothing short of an absolute BS nightmare. So in short... Thank you Cary & Penrose Towing for your invaluable service.

Life savers! My vehicle broke down in phantom canyon and I called multiple tow company’s and my insurance tried to find someone to tow it but were unsuccessful until Penrose Tractor and Towing! They towed my vehicle all the way to Longmont and were very professional.
