Our family is truly thankful and blessed to have the opportunity to reside at The Farm at Buena Vista. We both grew up in BV, as well as our adult son, who recently moved out of the area due to the high-cost of housing. We spent years trying to purchase a home in Chaffee County, but the lack of affordable housing options for local working families is immense. Thanks to Fading West, and their mission to bring high quality, attainable housing to BV, our dream of homeownership finally became a reality in 2020.

We truly enjoy living in the Farm community. It’s the perfect place for families; our granddaughter loves coming to visit and spending time with all the kids. The pavilion is an awesome place for year round gatherings and the warm glow from the gas fire pit makes for a fun evening, especially during the colder seasons. The green spaces are perfectly groomed during the summer, and snow is promptly removed from all of the sidewalks and streets during the winter months.

The Farm made it possible for my wife and I to fulfill a dream many years in the making of moving to this beautiful small town! We live in an end unit right in the heart of the community, and making friends has been a breeze; the layout of this place fosters conversation and many a spontaneous beverage with neighbors.

Antley and Erik have both gone above and beyond fixing any issues and making us feel welcome throughout year one. The front porch is awesome, the crawl space and shed have enabled us to pretend like we're minimalists, and the heaters do the trick throughout the sleepy winter. If you're looking for an ultra-premium, isolated home experience, The Farm probably isn't for you. This has been the perfect buy as first time homeowners and we look forward to many more years here!

From the second floor of our home, we can see the Collegiate Peaks to the west and the Midland "hills" to the east. Very early on spring and summer mornings, we can hear the Arkansas River. And in the afternoons, we delight in the happy sounds of children playing together in the common areas.

We're connected by trails to shopping and restaurants on Highway 24, Main Street and South Main, yet when most of Buena Vista is busy with visitors, it's still peaceful here. (The Farm's prohibition on short-term rentals helps.)

This is a wonderful place to live: quiet, friendly, beautifully designed, and managed by a caring and conscientious firm.

I love all the green space and trees and how dog friendly it is. It feels like a community more than just a neighborhood. People look out for each other here. The fire pit is a great place to socialize with friends.

Massively overpriced for the quality of product. Better to get mobile home but unfortunately the City has banned the use of them in it limits. GREAT place for displaced Californians with tons of cash!
