The Juicy Lucy is easily the juiciest burger I have ever had, not even a question. The juice literally pours out of the middle of this stuffed delight. Our group also had the Blucy (blue cheese), hamburger and double cheeseburger. All very good. The fries were super crispy, good beer selection, good service.

I'm glad I came here and had to try the burgers. Over a year ago was the first time I had a juicy Lucy in MN. I really liked it so when I found out I could get one here. I was so excited. I came the next day. I brought the fame and they all ordered the juicy Lucy so I had to be different and got the saucey Sally. Unfortunately, I was let down. I'm not sure if there were thousand island on it. It was still a great burger but it did not give me the hype like I thought it would. I would say if you come here get the juicy Lucy and leave Sally alone. Fries where delicious also. And they have cocktails if you want. Also they carry Pepsi products for soda. Overall so glad I came here and I will be back for another round!

Such a cool little spot 🙂 We had a fun experience with our Juicy Lucys and it was delicious as well! I went with offline and the burger was so much better than the promo video looked (very sad) so I’m glad other people had photos in their reviews I could see before. The staff was awesome and helpful and made the experience so much better. The food and vibes were just great 🙂

Cool bar/restaurant!! The juicy Lucy was tasty, but hot as hell on the inside. Read the instructions they give you before you eat it in order to avoid burns. The ambience in this place was cool and laid back.

Lucy’s has a great vine, warm and helpful staff, and okay food. I enjoyed the vibe as soon as I walked in, from the 80s MTV videos playing on the tv, to good beats, and a cozy diner feel. I was brought pretzels and a menu and given the rundown by the waitress. I ordered The juicy Lucy, with bacon and a fried egg, and a basket of mac n cheese bites (which comes on a full basket of fries). I almost ordered a Mexican coke till I saw the float! It’s been many years since I’ve had a float. That was brought first and it was good… the ice cream had some ice on it, but mostly it was creamy and delicious and I couldn’t tell if it was in coke or root beer, but I enjoyed it as I bopped to the beats and watched Madonna and the ramones on TV in videos from the 80s.

A small, laminated info sheet about how to eat a juicy Lucy burger was placed in front of me and I looked it over… all sound advice! Then the food arrived. I usually start with the fries as they really shine when they are hottest… I squirted some ketchup and went to add mayo, but the mayo packets were inoperable… I tried two of them, bending to access the open here tab which was right in the middle of the packet… I gave up and ate some fries with ketchup. Typical French cut fries. Good… not great. I went for a Mac n cheese bite. I’m a bit of a connoisseur of Mac n cheese and I loved the crunch and the cheddar cheesiness of them, and that you could easily pick them up and eat them. They definitely made me think of Wisconsin or Minnesota region. Good… not great.

Next I tried the burger. I went for a slightly biggger bite than I should have and as soon as I felt the hot liquid cheese seeping out I stopped and took a slightly smaller bite. I let the cheese cool a bit and then I dug in again, being very careful with my bites to try to not force too much cheese out. Ultimately, the bun is too bready and big, the egg didn’t add anything to the burger as it was over hard, and the bacon couldn’t be tasted. The cheese sauce in the middle was okay, but reminded me of processed cheese. The meat itself didn’t taste seasoned or in any way exemplary, and was cooked well done.

In summation, it’s a fun place, with a good vibe, but the fans are blowing too hard (which both blows things around, and cools the food faster), and the signature burger was gimmicky, fun, good… but not great.

Try it once to say you’ve done it, then go for better quality food elsewhere.

My first time at Lucy’s and when our order was taken, I was informed of the automatic 20% gratuity. This isn’t the issue because I leave at least 20% regardless of the service satisfaction of the meal, the problem is my gratuity was a line item titled service fee, and it was taxed. I don’t think the owner Meesh is trying to support her employees but she Is definitely robbbng her customers by taxing the gratuity and forcing us to pay it as a service fee. I probably wont return.

I am a chef and I love to try new restaurants. I found a video describing Lucy's Burger Bar and I was on a mission to find the Juicy Lucy. I noticed there were no seats when got there for a late lunch. We waited a few minutes and we were able to sit at the bar. The staff were busy making drinks and taking orders. We were enjoying our conversation. I ordered my juicy lucy's the way they make them. pickles and raw onions for me. She my lovely wife ordered with lettuce and tomatoes with onions and pickles. I never was able to get to the South Minneapolis bars so I was determined to get to Lucy's. The restaurant was emptying but when I turned around it was full again. The owner was extremely nice and it was great to see she did take the time to to speak to us. The chef was awesome and looked very happy to work at this great burger bar. I hope to take my out of town guests here and also sneak a burger a few times a month. everything about this restaurant is a five star. fries were some of the best I have ever had and the burger was best ever!
