It's a great local history museum. Filled with details and interesting stories about prominent people in the town dating back to the 1870s. The museum is housed in the old Bimson blacksmith shop built in 1893 out of quarried stone from the foothills. The exhibits inside the main structure are well-organized by topic - blacksmith shop, Dr office, pharmacy, Victorian house parlor and kitchen, etc. But be sure to have them open up the buildings out back, including original 1870's cabin, a schoolhouse, and a telescope/observatory. The volunteer Mark did a great job summarizing the key historical people and places that made Berthoud what it is today. Seniors $3 entrance fee.

This is a great little place to visit in Berthoud and learn some of the history of the town. The exhibits are very well set out and have lots of information with them. The opening hours are limited and there is a small entry fee ($5 per adult) but I feel it's worth it to support the historical society. The collection of buildings out the back are really interesting. I would advise adding this place to a lovely day spent visiting Berthoud 😊

Beautiful building with some nice relics. No air or cooler so was really hot inside that's the reason I'm giving them a 3.
