Playground was fun for toddlers. My kids had the most fun on the grassy hill though! They loved running up it or riding their bikes down!

Love the community garden anybody can go there they told us and help maintain the garden and you can also pick vegetables and take them home all at no charge it was fun taking my grandson there we helped in the garden we picked weeds and then we were able to pick some onions and things and take them home oh and raspberries the raspberry bushes for amazing

Pioneer Park is a relatively decent sized park with lots of green space. In the final weeks of summer, the grass is swarming with fleets of mosquitos so beware. On the other side of the field is a quaint playground, a field hockey area, and an arrangement of picnic tables. Rock benches surround the green space, but the highlight of the park is definitely the gorgeous community garden. Last interesting thing to note, they have a time capsule that we came across one night at the top of a hill. (Check out the picture!)

Decent sized park with lots of green space. Has a playground, field hockey, and a fountain / water bed. Benches surround the green space but the highlight of the park is the community garden.

Nice neighborhood park. In fact it's so nice people come from other neighborhoods just to use it. Good meeting place great place to rent to have family occasions and celebrations. Memorials to some of my former friends and family. And a great sledding hill named after my little friend who passed away too young. Great Smalls town stuff

Berthoud does a great job maintaining their parks. Pioneer park is well used but usually super clean (unless your visit was preceded by a kids party) and is well equipped. The concrete is flat, there’s lots of parking, community garden is cool (find raspberries on the North side), and a wide variety of tree species.

The playground had no slide and has a small lake/large water feature kids can get in easily. It has a skate hockey court, basketball court, bocce area and horse shoe pits. Plus 3 nice pavilions.
