Not an inclusive spa for pregnant women. The only treatments the men here will let you do while pregnant are facials. Even my esthetician was not confident on how to treat me for a hydrafacial. The spa space itself was also poor compared to many of the other Ritz Carlton spas I’ve been to- small lounge room with minimal seating, no food/snacks, and the staff I interacted with did not seem accommodating /experienced. Would not recommend if you want a relaxing time.

Received confirmation email with quoted price. Learned that quoted price is "progressive" at check out and subject to change based on hotel occupancy. Front desk would not honor quoted price in confirmation email. Definitely a first for all of this. Facilities were the same as usual except they are unkempt. Massage was dreadful. They should only schedule therapists that can perform the required therapy. Booked a 50 minute deep tissue. I was picked up 5 min early and returned to lounge 5 min early. It definitely felt very short; however, given how bad the massage, I was no upset with the shortened duration. Asked for a concentration on legs and received a leg massage consisting of pushing on legs from on top of the cover, never making contact with my skin - definitely a first. The other part of massage was leaning on back with forearms. There are too many other options in the area to choose the most expensive and receive a substandard service. Unfortunately, the Ritz continues to rest on their laurels while service continues to diminish. Isolated mountain resort can probably limp through the season but management should do better. From a massage a week client, you would be better served elsewhere.

Not what you'd expect at a Ritz Carlton and not what I've experienced at other Ritz Carlton properties. The spa seems to be an afterthought added to the basement of the hotel. The spa was clean. The lockers were in a room, out into the hallway to the restrooms, and out into the hall and into another room for the sinks, and yet another for the showers....down a hall through a door to the steam room and hot tub and then down another hall through another door to the Grotto area. The Grotto area was nice and had a nice atmosphere. The massage was basically rubbing oil onto my body with minimal actual massaging. I would not recommend wasting your money if you are looking for a relaxing experience. I will go elsewhere for my spa treatment on our next visit.

Writing this as someone who visits this spa every trip to Beav, which is a lot over the last 10+ years. Easily the worst experience I’ve had at a spa and likely will never return because of it. You CANNOT book a couples massage online You MUST call them directly. I’ve never been to a spa where that’s the case. One staff member had headphones in and was extremely rude. The showers didn’t have the eucalyptus spray ā€œbecause people steal itā€. The little touches I came for were lack-luster. Massage therapist finished short and picked me up over 5 min late…. It was barely a 40min massage. Disappointed was an understatement. Not worth it.

If you love a good spa day, then the Ritz-Carlton Spa Bachelor Gulch is the place for you! It’s a great option for a little rest and relaxation while staying in the Beaver Creek/Bachelor Gulch area. This spa has a nice cozy atmosphere, with a mountain vibe, and the staff here are very professional. I got a Relaxation Massage while I was there, which started with a heat pack placed on my back while the masseuse worked on my legs, that was wonderful! I felt great afterwards, and loved how at the end of the massage they leave you with a little treat to enjoy, mine was a chocolate with some fresh berries.

As you walk through the different water features it starts to have more of a cave like appearance, which makes you feel like you’re transported underground almost, but the lighting was far too dim in these rooms. I could see this being problematic for an elderly person with low vision, and for that reason I wouldn’t pick this spa if I wanted to treat let’s say my grandma to a spa day. The water features consist of your usual favorites like a jacuzzi, sauna, steam room, cold plunge, and a large grotto which is coed.

Otherwise, the entire ladies lounge was lovely and had a nice upscale feel to it. I liked the variety of tea options they have, to be able to make yourself a hot cup of tea while enjoying the spa. They have everything you need if you wanted to shower and change after your treatment and the fitness center is open to spa guests as well. The massage I had, in my opinion, was the perfect thing to help me acclimate on my recent trip to Colorado. If you’re looking for that luxurious mountain spa day, I would definitely visit the Ritz!

Madeline is the best masseuse at the spa! I stayed at the Ritz for a fitness retreat and booked Madeline for three days in a row because she was so amazing. I've had chronic shoulder pain for years and have been to multiple physical therapists. I've been completely pain free for the two weeks since I've seen Madeline. She is one of those masseuses who knows exactly how to find every spot without you having to tell her. She is extremely charismatic so you'll love talking with her but she'll know exactly when to let you fully relax into the massage. I've never had such an amazing massage at a luxury spa, usually they aren't deep enough for me- but Madeline is the absolute best. The spa itself is also amazing. I highly recommend arriving an hour early so you can use the grotto to do the cold plunge, steam room, whirpool, and sauna circuit. It's printed on the wall of the grotto so you know exactly how many minutes to spend in each!

Absolutely love the spa. Sherry gave me a fantastic massage and Beverly is just a sweetheart. Doing the full circuit after a massage really enhances things, sauna, whirlpool, steam room and cold plunge pool really helps. The ladies locker is so relaxing and offers all the amenities you need. This is such a fantastic part of my stay everytime I I'm here I try to make the very most of it. Octavio in the shop is also very helpful and had a nice warm and gooey chocolate chip cookie as a sweet treat! I can't say enough about the spa at the Ritz Carlton.

We celebrated my husbands 40th recently a year late due to covid. We usually visit this hotel once a year. BEWARE 🚫
We were excited to eat at the newer Japanese restaurant there SAKABA. We only eat sushi if we are near the ocean but we decided we'd try it. Unfortunately after we paid for a very high priced dinner, my husband and I were violently vommiting it ALL UP. It ruined his birthday. We mentioned it to the front
desk in case anoyone else was sick too. We orderd the chefs special, Omakase, which are items not on the menu...
The Ritz staff did not care we were sick. They had us fill out a claim form and sent us on our way. No follow up. Unfortunately, we will not go there anymore after we were treated so poorly. Also, the Grotto spa area seemed a bit run down too. Even newer lounge chairs in grotto look like they are from kMart, no more teak wood...
