I want to make a very honest review. This cake was very disgusting. Not fresh at all, you could taste the oldness of it. It is not worth the $49.45 for the small sized cake, which is a ridiculous price for this size. When it was the previous owners this cake was beyond delicious. This exact sized cake with the previous owners used to be $24.95 and tasted amazing. Unlike now! I was very disappointed and upset upon eating this cake.

This is a packed, literally way too many tables crammed into a very tiny space. People couldn't get in or out of their seats. Good or bad, depends on how you look at it. Our food was not bad. The reuben is not a typical reuben. It is a smoked, shaved meat with a strange 'thousand island type' tasteless dressing. You wanted to keep eating it to try and figure it out and then ultimately
not satisfied and disapppointed. If you have a reuben on the menu make it a reuben.
There is so much wasted space for items you can purchase but honestly you are so packed in and it is so loud that all you want to do is get the heck out of there.
I hope the Owners figure it out because as locals we want them to make it work.

Love this little cafe, butcher, bakery, and gourmet foods grocer. The commitment to organic ingredients can be tasted in every bite. The decor transports you to a quaint European cafe.

Extraordinary! An absolute gem and cannot miss spot for high quality, delicious food for anyone living in the Vail Valley or passing through. The commitment to quality and personalized service is unmatched!

The butcher prepared the best tenderloin our family has ever roasted, and the new kitchen/cafe is a welcome addition to the Vail Valley. Undoubtedly, the best lunch I’ve had in ages. Do not sleep on the meat pizza! The French dip is divine. They offer a variety of gourmet sandwiches, soups, pastries, burger and specials. Add a coffee shop with fresh juices/smoothies is a nice treat with wines by the glass too!

The house-made pickles are so yummy and there is enough meets and cheeses to make a charcuterie platter dreams are made of. The macaroons and artisan chocolates are a delight. We can’t wait to enjoy their breakfast next—I’ve been told the eggs Benedict is next level.

What a huge addition to the town of Avon. The food is delicious, the pastries are stellar, and the service great. Eat in or take out. And the butcher store has great meats and fish to cook at home. Highly recommend!!

Want to like this restyled Columbine space but they make it very hard. First, it really smells bad when you enter. They need to improve the ventilation in the kitchen. Second, management needs to hire a desert chef who knows what they are doing! Today’s apple pie was filled with absolutely raw apples! Prior purchases of eclairs and fruit cake and tarts also below acceptable quality. Staff turnover seems excessive as always some new girls working the front counter and not trained to answer questions about various products .

We stopped off for the croissants. They were out of this world! It reminds us of the bakeries in Paris🇫🇷

I want to like this place because we need good places in the Vail Valley and I hate to say anything negative, but it really isn't good and it is incredible expensive. I've been in five times for breakfast/lunch and it is worse each time. The people are friendly (that why 2 stars instead of 1) and boast on the freshness and quality of the ingredients which I'm sure is true, but once prepared the flavor is lost. My meal today was a flaccid rueben sandwich on soggy toast that I struggled to find the pastrami on but with lots of watery russian dressing and sauerkraut. The garnish was unrecognizable and just as worn looking as the sandwich which came with no side for $21 dollars. The whole thing was under seasoned which was the case with an equally unappetizing gyro on a previous visit. I'm hoping the owners do a course correction, spend time tasting these dishes, looking at how the food is presented and add some additional value in the future. (how hard it is it to throw a nice garnish and some chips on a plate)
