Across the board it has been a surprise and a pleasure working with Archuleta County departments. Having moved from a larger county to Archuleta three years ago we are extremely grateful for how pleasant, organized and friendly the Building Department staff have been. Our first interactions were with Road & Bridge a couple of years ago. Responsive & friendly throughout the process of getting our road put through and assigning us street addresses. This fall we went through the process of consolidating our 2 lots: what a breeze! Justin was available, responsive, and had all our necessary paperwork ready. He explained it all clearly and was communicative throughout.

We have lived in other places where you could never talk to a real person, and everyone acted like they hated their jobs.

We have nothing but positive things to say about our experiences so far.
