I can honestly say this is the best beef I've ever had! I've tried the ribs, brisket and new York strips which were amazing. I saved all the fat drippings for cooking eggs and stir fry but the biggest surprise was the ground beef. For the first time ever I could not smell that gross feed lot urea smell! The quality is amazing and they don't finish off their beef with corn like other dishonest farms do within the last 30 days.
Can't go wrong with a 1/4 cow at that price. Grass fed ribeye is $27 per lb in SPROUTS so it's less than half the price. No brainier!

I’ve been eating Grassroots meat from Pagosa Springs for years. I’m super picky about the beef, lamb, chicken , etc that I buy and haven’t found anything better. They never feed their herd any grain ever. Many grass finished operations still do. The cows graze on the most beautiful high mountain pastures in the world and it makes a difference. Lots of people try grass finished for the 1st time and don’t care for it, but I think it’s the management of the animals and pasture quality. These folks have been grass finishing for 20 yrs and know what they’re doing. This is the cleanest, tastiest meat you’re going to find anywhere.

We love GrassRoots meats! Their meats are so delicious, especially the grass fed & grass finished lamb. I never cared for lamb as it seemed to have a gamy flavor but GrassRoots lamb is so delicious and tender. The beef is amazing too! We have been ordering grass fed & grass finished meats for a couple years from their competitors and nothing compares to GrassRoots. Stop by their convenient location (Mondays only), pick up some healthy meats and get a quick education on why grass fed & grass finished meats are better for us. I personally struggle with autoimmune disorders and commercial raised meats that are filled with antibiotics, growth hormones, fed grains and stripped of their nutrients do me wrong. This family owned business provides our community with healthy nutritious meats at a fair price. Raising healthy animals to make healthier humans! Support these local ranchers.

I got a whole cow and was very happy how kind and informative the owners were. The steak was incredibly tender and had the best flavor! It was easily the best steak I’ve ever had. I will definitely be back for more!
