I recently had Shame Market cater food for my nephew’s Khatem, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience! The food was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. They provided a great variety that suited all dietary preferences, and my guests couldn’t stop raving about it.

The team was professional, punctual, and easy to work with, ensuring everything went smoothly on such an important occasion. Whether you’re hosting a small gathering or a big event, I highly recommend Shame Market for catering. They truly exceeded my expectations!

Shams is nice Afghan Market. Have the best kebab in the area. Working hard to make it better. Have meat and breed. Have fresh pomegranate juice. I really need to visit again again.

I recently got a few shawarmas for me and my family. I paid $10 for this:
Very little and not enough food to be worth 10 bucks. Small tortilla bread, one slice of tomato, two cucumber slices and nothing else really. I was still hungry after and the meat was very dry and had no sauce. Don’t recommend the shawarma it’s just very immoral to charge $10 for this much food. I’ve had the Afghan Burger at was very delicious, but this is just bad. I’m disappointed.

Welcoming customer service. I and my family were greeted upon entrance and provided with excellent customer service. Highly recommend as the food is fresh, tasty, and immaculate.

I wish I could leave a positive review, but our experience at Shams Market was overshadowed by the owner’s unprofessional and disrespectful behavior. From the moment we arrived, we were met with a dismissive attitude that made us feel unwelcome.

While the food might have been decent, the way we were treated completely ruined the dining experience. The owner not only failed to address our concerns but was outright rude when we tried to discuss the issue politely. It’s disappointing to see a lack of basic courtesy and respect for customers.

Hospitality is just as important as the food, and unfortunately, Shams Market fell short on both fronts. We won’t be returning and cannot recommend this establishment to anyone seeking a positive dining experience.

Shams market is located off of Auburn Blvd and watt Ave right behind Deny’s. This place caries authentic traditional afghan and Pakistani groceries, exceptional varieties of dry fruits, rugs, household day to day use accessories. Ambiance is warm and welcoming. There is a meat department which caries Halal meat. Store also offer women and men clothing, traditional readymade suits and variety of women Jewelry. Apart of store is Shams diner which offers variety of afghan food especially Kabobs such as Kobeda.
Chicken boti, lamb chops and kabuli palao.
It’s hard to find places where you can shop groceries, buy some traditional clothes, artificial jewelry and eat afterwards when you get hungry. Prices are reasonable as per current economic conditions. If you never shop from any authentic subcontinent based grocery store before and would like to have a nice lunch and dinner, this is your one stop shop.

Best kabobs in town!!!! Very pleased with my visit. Their portions are really big. I ordered beef lamb doner + fries & kabobs. The kabobs were out of this world! I’ve tried many kabobs in the area but nothing can compete with shams!!! The doner was alright, the fries portion is massive! I paid around 2-3$ for the fries MUST VISIT!!
