It’s super awesome that Diamond Springs has Solid Ground Brewery. My family enjoys meeting up here. It’s family friendly even though it’s a brewery. Besides their beers, they have pretty tasty food menu options. Plus they occasionally host live music.

They offer tasting flights of beer, cider, and wine. 5 choices for $15 for beer and cider, and $21 for the wine. The hamburger is pretty darn tasty. Hefty, juicy patty. Family members raved about the shrimp sando. The shrimp is dressed in a butter mayo, seasoned with Old Bay and served on a toasted New England roll. But when we ordered it last week, all three sandwiches had the shrimp undressed and just seasoned with Old Bay. Ohh I was feeling skinny and wanted that butter mayo (butternaise). It was still tasty though. To add, the shrimp are a good size, not tiny but get real … not jumbo either.

This may be a brewery, but don’t underestimate their food. The spicy buttermilk friend chicken sando is one of the best things we have ever tried. Absolutely amazing. Their alcohol is to die for, however I think everyone knows that by now. Great live music!

We come here all the time and it's always great. A good mix of beers, ciders, and wine. Their Imperial Mutsu might be my favorite cider of all time. Strong but easy to drink, clean, crisp, and delicious! Their chicken sandwich is a must try, definitely get it spicy, seems like they recently kicked it up a notch with new sauce and it's perfect.

Edit: Solid Ground is still at least a monthly staple for us. I recently tried every local hard cider producer and in my opinion Solid Ground is by far the best. The beer is pretty good too.

The food is great, though the $1 spicy option on the chicken sandwich has been pretty weak for a while now. Sometimes I wonder if it's even any different than the normal one. The sandwich is still really tasty and cooked perfectly but I think it should be kicked up a notch! Throw some of those red peppers on that come with the Ugly Nugz and it would be perfect.

Great venue for some beer w/ indoor and outdoor seating and one of the tastier grilled cheese sandwiches I have had in a while. The beer menu was wide and varied w/ a little something for most tastes. My favorite option was the Christmas Ale, it was full of tasty winter spices and had a great mouth feel. IN 2nd place was their Hefeweizen that had a nice fruity aroma and that great banana ish flavor at the end. Good stuff. We also got some food, both their slider options and the grilled cheese. The Grilled cheese was quite good, the Sliders were flavorful and their fries were yummy. It's a little out of the way I suppose, but worth a stop if heading in that direction.

The perfect combination is happening at Solid Ground Brewing and Winery, when a winemaker and brewmaster collaborate. they are pushing the boundaries of beer using wine making techniques. Such as, barrel age projects and blending wine into beer to create harmonious hybrids. Their 2022, Ria won a double gold in the San Francisco Chronicle wine competition and best of show at the international canned wine competition.
The brewery conveys a log cabin feel with high ceilings, tall tables and a brick tap wall. The chicken sandwich was tasty, but the shoelace fries were my favorite. This could be a good date spot if bar games were available. There is live music on the weekends, which might make it difficult to talk if you were on a date. IG: SACRAMENTOHONEY

Great spot for a good beer and delicious chicken sandwich or burger. The chicken Nugs are tasty too, but can be spicy. Worth a stop for sure.

Decided to plan a last minute trip to Placerville. We had a couple hours to kill before checking in and decided to check out SG. We both absolutely loved their well balanced variety of beers. We each did flights and ended up with a growler of Cosmic to go. We also had sliders and fries and they were good as well. We had our three year old in tow and there were a bunch of other kids there too. Kid friendly. Highly recommend!

We stayed here because they are also a Harvest Host and it was great!!!! We are 37’ with a truck in tow that we didn’t need to unhook. We came in late so the kitchen was closed, but if the food is as good as the beer 🍺! Hayden was awesome and knew so much about the beer, ciders and wine we learned so much. Also he can tell you the best place to see while you’re in the area…. Thanks Soild Ground Brewing and Hayden 😊
