Owner advertises being an 'Organic Nursery' I find that hard to believe. I was picking up material next door at the rockyard and I saw the business owner applying weed control in the gravel pathways 30min before they open. I'm pretty sure that contradicting to being organic 🤔

They have great selection and service! The only place we were able to find several plants, citrus and ceanothus (Calif. lilac). The plants are healthy and we got good advice for caring for them. So nice that they have a whole section of local native plants.

We were waiting for the steak house to open, when we decided to check out the nursery. What an awesome place! Very friendly AND knowledgeable owners. I plan on doing lots of landscaping this year and New Life Nursery will be the first one I visit.

I went in for some Kelloggs Amend to patch my lawn. I asked about the pay for three and get one free. I was told that is last month's special and was pointed to the new special hanging on the window for 3 bags of amend and get an organic lawn fertilizer free. Sounded good to me since this fertilizer is around $25, so I asked for this special.

As the person was ringing me up I was asked what size fertilizer I wanted. I asked which one is free? I was asked again. I requested the 40 pound. As we were loading up, a fourth bag of amend was put in the car. My mind still did not register what just happened.

When I got home I worked on the lawn patches but had that nagging feeling that something was amiss.

I checked my receipt to find I was given a free bag of amend and charged full price for the lawn fertilizer.

The moral... be careful and really check your receipt before you leave. Make sure all looks okay.

I shop here when I need organic fertilizer and amendments. I have not experienced this before at this nursery.

I wrestled with writing this and figured it may help others.

Fertilizer was near $50. The bag was loaded with a hole on the backside! The person loading kept it standing up. On top of the first amend bag. She was very intentional in doing that with the front facing out. I laid it down so the other bags would fit. This poured out of the bag into the vehicle during the drive home. Io now don't know if I got what I paid for. What a mess!

I left a so-so review sometime ago when the new owners took over.....we went back soon after and since go on a weekly basis receiving GREAT SERVICE AND AWESOME PLANTS.....The staff is very helpful...nice to talk with and the SELECTION OF PLANTS/TREE & SHRUBS IS EXCITING! Not typical stuff you see at other nurseries/garden supplies or chain stores...ALWAYS WORTH GIVING SOMEONE ANOTHER OPPORTUNITY TO EXCEL...THANK YOU VERY MUCH!
