This place has no improvement!! Every time I deliver here, I always end up rescheduling my whole day deliveries due to how slow these guys work. Lumber fees don't even make sense with the type of work ethic. Mind this, i never deliver a full load here..3 pallets at most or less. I used to work at warehouse unloading trailers. It's not that hard. Most of the time, I end picking up the slack because someone is lazy. If this is the case, sysco needs to offer self unloading to the driver. They don't need these 3rd party Lumber Biz💯🤬

Hi truckers, Most thing matters what kind products you bring. My delivery appointment was 10am However, I tried to checked in 6am and they take me. Security guard will give you door if that door busy you can backup other door in same lane just let know receiving office.they took me less than 2 hours. I got empty 7:30am however my appointment was 10am.

I had two deliveries for my load: one at Walnut Sysco, with an appointment at 6 AM. I checked in on time then i checked out at 12 PM. When I arrived at the Riverside location, the guard assigned me a door, and I went inside to submit the paperwork. There, I encountered a woman wearing spectacles who spoke very rudely and lacked basic manners in addressing drivers. It was evident she didn’t know how to communicate respectfully.

We had a 9 am appt. Arrived at 8:40 am on time, the guard at shack was very nice gave me door 34, the guard also stated if there is a truck in 34 we could back into any door 3 doors up or down from that dock # 34. Drove around and all doors were full so I proceeded to check in office and the young lady was pleasant and said she would call with a door when one come available. 3 hrs went by and nothing so I walked back in and made sure we were not forgotten. At 12:30 we finally got door 31, by the looks of things we could be here the rest of the day. I don’t think this is even a acceptable amount of time for a full load but the thing is we only have 40cases on 1 pallet and 18 cases on another so they are receiving to small pallets with a total of 58 cases. We are independent truck owners with 1 truck these delays are horrific for anybody let alone a small independent like my wife and I. My whole issue is we used to be allowed in and unload the freight now we haft to hire overpriced lumpers. If they don’t have the man power to offload efficiently wouldn’t you think letting drivers in to offload and maybe hire a few more receivers would be a big help. Covid is over let’s get back to business and make America Great Agian. I will honestly say this is not a place I enjoy coming to, such a shame being it’s a beautiful facility. Management needs to evaluate this on going situation at this facility and make solid changes that would be better for them and the truckers delivering. Happy New Year and God Bless.

The driveway entrance for delivery trucks is NOT on Meridian Parkway-
It is on Opportunity Way.

Be prepared to walk back and forth
over and over.

Try to check in after you have a Door.

Otherwise,
make sure you go back in and give them your paperwork after you get a Door.

It’s awkward-
If the Doors are full,
you have to sit and wait because they give you about 10 different doors to wait for and there is no telling
which driver is waiting for which doors
or who was there first.

They don’t use Relay for Lumpers-
you have to go in and give your Express Code and then go out and keep waiting.

Not a happy place-
they don’t care about you,your load or your time.

It doesn’t matter if you have one pallet or a pressing next appointment.

Be prepared to probably waste your time here.

I hope you have a better experience than everyone seemed to be having here
when I came.

Very rarely in my 20 years of driving have I been treated as disrespectfully as I have today at Sysco. The girl in the office, and I use the word "girl" meaningfully because this individual has never matured past adolescent snottiness, has absolutely zero respect for anybody's time and zero courtesy or consideration.

Expect to sit here for endless hours and stand in line multiple times for the most inefficient and aggravating delivery experience you've ever encountered.

Slow is an understatement.. do the count on your time sysco.. 6 pallets almost 6hrs and still waiting.. Im the last truck the shipping office is off but one person waiting for the lumper to finish counting 6 pallets unreal

Where to start? 0700 appointment but arrived at 0600. Given a dock at 0730 but the dock was taken. I was told to find the nearest open door which was door 28. I backed on to door 28 and went to the receiving office. Waited for ever while a girl with attitude played with her cell phone. I was told they did not use door 28 and was told to park up and they would call me when a door was available. I sat and watched one of their own trucks back on to door 28 and unload and when he was gone another truck backed on to it. After over an hour I went back to the office and asked if they had a door for me as several trucks that had arrived after me proceeded to get a dock before me. They same girl with attitude gave a distinct impression she had forgot about me, having her mind occupied by horse play with the other two people in the office with her. I was given a door number by her which was occupied, I was told to take the door when the other driver pulled off.....though there were many open doors including 38 which was the one first assigned to me!!!!

At 11.15 I got a phone call to tell me they wanted 220 bucks lumper fee. I wrote a comcheck and proceeded to the receiving office again, I went to the window to hand her the check and girl with attitude stated she was going to lunch and to come back in half an hour. I was stood there with the check and would have taken 5 minutes to process but nope, come back after lunch!

Shocking!

Oh and the person who responds to the complaints with an apology, don't bother as it keeps happening so your words have no meaning.
